I've owned Blaze since he was 4 years old. We were regular competitors in 50-mile endurance races/rides and were just beginning to prepare for our first 100-mile race in 2005. As we began training, Blaze started having more and more problems with his back end collapsing out from under him. We had 3 different vets evaluate him, 2 said the only option was surgery and the third said we could try conservative methods for a while but there was a good chance hed need surgery. I started having him adjusted regularly and put together a strengthening regimen to try our best to avoid surgery. Within a year, there was absolutely no talk of surgery and Blaze has no trace of his past problems that limited him from competition. He is adjusted twice a year and as soon as I get time again, we will be back on schedule to train for our first 100-mile ride!
